Elks, 959 Waltham Street, Wedding Shower on April 29, 1990 <br />Sons of Italy, 177 Bedford Street, Pizza Party on April 28, 1990 <br />ABATEMENTS <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />abatement of Demand Charges in the amount of $50.00 and of Sewer Charges in <br />the amount of $501.580 <br />COMMON VICTUALLER LICENSE <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />application of Pine Meadows Golf Course for Common Victualler License to <br />operate a food establishment at Pine Meadows Golf Course, 255 Cedar Street, <br />seven days, from 7;00 a.m. until dark. <br />GARAGE SALE POLiY <br />The Chairman referred to the restriction on Sunday Yard and Garage <br />Sales, which is stated as item #1 in the Selectmen's Garage and Yard Sales <br />Policy Statement ". Questions from residents have arisen about this <br />prohibition in view of the changes in the Blue Laws relative to Sunday and <br />holiday commercial operations and from those residents whose sabbath is <br />observed on Saturdays. <br />Following brief discussion, it was agreed that decision on the issue <br />will. be deferred pending exploration to clarify the legal requirements under <br />current law. <br />Q UARTERLY TAX BILLS ARTICLE 46 <br />Mr. White presented details of the financial benefits to the Town of <br />quarterly uarterl payments of Real Estate taxes rather than semi - annual payment which <br />is the current practice. <br />
