No person shall engage or take part in any <br />game, sport, picnic, or performance on the Battle Green <br />without the written permission of the Selectmen where the <br />same would interfere with the safe, convenient, and <br />appropriate use thereof, or where such aet disturbs the <br />safety of persons or property. No person shall climb upon, <br />deface, mutilate, or otherwise injure any tree, shrubbery, <br />monument, boulder® fence, seat,"or structure on the Battle <br />Green.p <br />
