Miscellaneous School Article <br /> MOTION: That the sum of $850,000 be appropriated <br /> for remodeling, reconstructing and making <br /> extraordinary repairs to school buildings including <br /> the re-roofing of school buildings, the Passed - <br /> installation of elevators at Lexington High School See below <br /> and Diamond Middle School, the replacement of <br /> windows and sills at Clarke Middle School , and the <br /> remodeling and making extraordinary repairs to the <br /> Maria Hastings Elementary School, and for <br /> additional school department equipment; that to <br /> meet the appropriation the Treasurer with the <br /> approval of the Selectmen is authorized to borrow <br /> $850,000 under Chapter 645 of the Acts of 1948 as <br /> amended or under G,L, c,44, §7 as amended; and that <br /> the Permanent Building Committee is authorized to <br /> take all action necessary to carry out this <br /> project; and, in addition, that $27,625 be <br /> appropriated for issue expenses and first year debt <br /> service and that said am( Lnt be raised in the tax <br /> levy. <br /> 10:15 p.m. Presented by John Oberteuffer, School <br /> Committee. <br /> 10:27 p.m. The Moderator recognized John Moynihan to <br /> speak on the particular buildings. <br /> 1 10: 32 p.m. Karen Docks, Capital Expenditures Committee, <br /> stated unanimous approval and recommended bonding. <br /> 10: 35 p.m. Michael O'Sullivan, Appropriation Committee, <br /> stated that the majority, of the committee was against <br /> passage.
