2 4SS (Adjourned S of the 1983 A nnual Town Meeting - May 9, 1983.) <br /> Article 20. Julian J. Bussgang moved that Line Item 7410 "Mystic Valley Mental <br /> (Cont.) Health" be amended by striking the sum of "$1,000" and replace there- <br /> for "$1.0,000" followed by the phrase "provided, however, that release <br /> of funds in part or in whole be authorized by the Human Services <br /> Committee ". 9:23 P.M. <br /> James F. Crain stated that the Selectmen unanimously opposed this <br /> amendment. 9:26 P.M. <br /> William J. Dailey, Jr., voiced the unanimous opposition of the <br /> Appropriation Committee to Mr. Bussgang's amendment. <br /> 9:29 P.M. <br /> Mr. Crain stated that we need hard data from those to whom the <br /> town gives money. 9:33 P.M. <br /> Dr. Stephen Bor_an, Chairman of the Human Services Committee, <br /> spoke from the balcony in answer to a question raised by Walter N. <br /> Leutz as to the description of the "hard data ". Dr. Boran said <br /> that the reporting was vague as to the programs and the units of <br /> work were not defined. 9:35 P.M. <br /> At the request of Town Counsel, Norman P. Cohen, Julian J. Buss - <br /> gang changed his amendment to read as follows: <br /> (See MOTION: That the line item 7410 "Mystic Valley Mental Health" be <br /> below amended by striking the sum of and replace therefor'$10,000" <br /> for followed by the phrase "provided, however, that release of funds in <br /> motion part or in whole be authorized by the Board of Health and the <br /> as Board of Selectmen. 9:37 P.M. <br /> adopted <br /> under Voice vote on Mr. Bussgang's motion to amend was doubted by the <br /> Article Moderator, so a standing vote was taken as follows: <br /> 20 <br /> (with Precinct In Favor Tellers O pposed _ <br /> the <br /> exception 1 1 Robert E.
