(Adjourned Session of the 1983 Annual Town Meeting - May 4, 1983.) e' <br /> Article B. was felt that there would be more time for in depth study if it <br /> (Cont.) were brought up at the 1984 Annual Town Meeting or at a Special <br /> Town Meeting if one was held sooner. <br /> Mr. Politi moved that this article be indefinitely postponed. <br /> 8:30 P.M. <br /> Homer J. IIagedorn, Chairman of the above named committee, was <br /> recognized and he spoke to the charge to the committee and in favor <br /> of indefinite postponement. 8:30 P.M. <br /> After a short discussion, the motion to indefinitely postpone <br /> Article 8 was adopted unanimously. 8 :35 P.M. <br /> Article 9. AUTHORIZE SPECIAL LEGISLATION CREATE <br /> HOUSING ASSISTANCE BOARD <br /> (See Pages 209 and 272) <br /> Margery M. Battin moved to postpone Article 9 until after Article <br /> 7 (which is to be taken up after Article 51). 8:36 P.M. <br /> Mrs. Battin explained that the final draft of legislation has not <br /> been agreed upon at this time. 8:37 P.M. <br /> Motion to postpone Article 9 until after Article 7 was declared <br /> adopted by voice vote. 8:38 P.M. <br /> Article 2. Nyles Nathan Barnert moved that the Report of the Capital Expendi- <br /> tures Committee be accepted and placed on file, 8:39 P.M. <br /> Mr. Barnert gave a short explanation of the report. 8:39 P.M. <br /> It was adopted unanimously to accept and place on file the Report <br /> of the Capital Expenditures Committee. 8:40 P.M. <br /> William J. Dailey, Jr, moved that the Report of the Appropriation <br /> Committee and the Supplemental Report of the Appropriation Committee <br /> be accepted and placed on file. <br /> Adopted Unanimously. 8:40 P.M. <br /> Article 19. SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATIONS FOR <br /> CURRENT FISCAL YEAR (FY 83) <br /> Presented by Robert F. Sacco. <br /> (As MOTION: That the sum of $115,000 be appropriated to line item 1700 - <br /> adopted) Group Insurance, to be used in conjunction with money appropriated <br /> under Article 4 of the warrant for the 1982 annual town meeting, and <br /> to raise such amount $115,000 be transferred from the Reserve Fund - <br /> Overlay Surplus. 8:41 P.M. <br /> Mr. Sacco explained that there had been a 35% increase in premium <br /> rates as of April l and this appropriation is for the last quarter. <br /> The renewal contract date has been adjusted to July 1 for next year. <br /> Motion, as presented by Mr. Sacco declared adopted unanimously. <br /> 8:43 P.M. <br />
