Chapter 308, §5/$10,000 Bid Limit <br /> MOTION: That Section 1 of Article XXII of the General By <br /> passed <br /> Laws of the Town of Lexington be amended as set forth in the <br /> article, see below <br /> 8:31 p.m. Presented by Selectman Paul Marshall who provided <br /> explanation <br /> Following a voice vote at 8:33 p.m. , the Moderator declared <br /> unanimous passage <br /> ------------------------------------- <br /> ARTICLE 45. Transfer of Trust Funds <br /> MOTION: That the Charles Lyman Reid Fund be transferred to passed <br /> the Lexington. Education Foundation. <br /> see below <br /> 8:34 p.m. Presented by Dan Fenn, P3. The Fund had been established <br /> to support education or a chapel at Westview Cemetery. The current <br /> amount in the fund is $11,152.55. Mr. Fenn explained that the money <br /> would not be used to support ordinary education expenses for which <br /> the school budget accounts. <br /> 8:41 p.m. Selectman Marshall stated the unanimous endorsement of <br /> the Board of Selectmen. <br /> 8:42 p.m. David Williams, Trustee of Public Trusts, stated that the <br /> Charles Lyman Weld Fund should remain a separate entity within thc, <br /> LEF and that the interest only should be used. <br /> 8:42 p.m. Julian Bussgang, P4, served Notice of Reconsideration on <br /> Article 43, M.G.L. Chapter 32, s.900/3/4 Creditable Service Time. <br /> Following a voice vote at 8:44 p.m. , the Moderator declared passage. <br /> ------------------------------------- <br /> ARTICLE 46. Amend Chapter 215, 8, Acts of 1929/Representative <br /> Town Meeting <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are passed <br /> authorized to petition the General Court for an act to amend see below <br /> Section 8 of Chapter 215 of the Acts of 1929 as amended as set <br /> forth in the article. <br /> 8:45 p.m. Presented by Selectman Marshall. <br /> Following a voice vote at 8:45 p.m., the Moderator declared <br /> unanimous passage. <br /> ------------------------------------- <br /> ARTICLE 31. Parking Factors <br /> 8:50 p.m. Selectman Leo McSweeney moved Reconsideration of Article <br /> 31, Section D, which had failed to pass on April 1. <br /> reconsidered <br /> There was considerable discussion as to the specificity of the <br /> section as it applied to the needs and processes of the Food as passed <br /> Empor i urn. p.477 <br /> Both the Board of Selectmen and the Planning Board supported the <br /> Reconsideration. <br /> Following a voice vote at 9:04 p.m., the Moderator declared the <br /> Meeting to be in favor of Reconsideration. <br /> There was considerable discussion pro and con. <br /> Robert Bowyer, Planning Director, gave explanation and stated that <br /> a majority of the Planning Board supported Section. P as it had been <br /> amended on April 1. <br />
