? <br /> (ADJOURNED SESSION, A.T.M. , CONT. - MAY 6, 1996) <br /> Culture and Recreation <br /> 5100 Library Personal Services 1,088,559 <br /> 5100 Library Expenses 228,414 <br /> 5200 Recreation Department 645,487 <br /> (And to raise such amount $645,487 be <br /> transferred from the Recreation <br /> Enterprise Fund. ) <br /> 10:14 p.m. Susan Cusack made the following motion: <br /> that Item 5200 Recreation Department <br /> be amended to read: $695,487 (And to <br /> raise such amount $695,487 be <br /> transferred from the Recreation <br /> Enterprise Fund. ) <br /> 10:16 p.m. Paul Lapointe, Appropriation Committee, stated <br /> majority opposition. <br /> 10:16 p.m. Donald Chisholm, Recreation Committee, stated <br /> opposition to the amendment. <br /> 10:21 p.m. Leo McSweeney, Board of Selectmen, stated <br /> unanimous opposition. <br /> Following a voice vote at 10:28 p.m. , the Moderator <br /> declared the amendment not adopted. <br /> Dawn McKenna and sufficient other members stood to doubt <br /> the vote.
