224 <br /> (ADJOURNED SESSION, A.T.M., CONT. - MAY 1, 19% ) <br /> 9:04 p.m. Nyles Barnert presented information. <br /> 9:05 p.m. Paul Lapointe, Appropriation Committee, stated <br /> support, as did Dr. Young for the Lexington Public <br /> Schools. <br /> 9:08 p.m. Selectman McSweeney moved that line items <br /> 5400, 6100, 5100 be brought up at this time. <br /> The Moderator read the following: <br /> 5400 Transportation Personal Services 0 <br /> 5400 Transportation Expenses 64,595 <br /> 9:10 p.m. Mr. Lapointe stated that the Appropriation <br /> Committee unanimously opposed the position of the Board <br /> of Selectmen on these articles. <br /> Mr. Lapointe made the following motion: <br /> that Line Item 5400 Transportation Personal <br /> Services be amended from $0 to <br /> $50,137, an increase of $50,137, and <br /> Line Item 5400 Transportation Expenses <br /> be amended from $64,595 to $179,458, <br /> an increase of $114,863, thus <br /> increasing these line items by <br /> $165,000 to restore the Lexpress <br /> service. <br /> 9:13 p.m. Sara Arnold, Transportation Committee, <br /> presented information. <br /> 9:18 p.m. Selectman Dailey stated the majority of the <br /> Board were not in favor of restoring Lexpress. <br /> Discussion continued with Selectmen Eddison and Fenn <br /> declaring support of Lexpress. <br /> 9:39 p.m. Richard Canale stated support of the Planning <br /> Board for the amendment. <br /> Following a voice vote at 9:41 p.m. , the Moderator <br /> declared the adoption of the amendment and restoration of <br /> Lexpress. <br /> 9:42 p.m. The Moderator read the following: <br /> 6100 Council on Aging Personal Services 155,012 <br /> (Of which $16,513 is to be transferred from the <br /> Recreation Enterprise Fund. ) <br /> 6100 Council on Aging Expenses 131 ,032 <br /> 9:43 p.m. Clark Cowen, Chairman of the Council on Aging, <br /> reported. <br /> 9:46 p.m. Paul Lapointe, Appropriation Committee, made <br /> the following motion: <br /> Line Item 6100 Council on Aging Expenses be <br /> amended from $131,032 to $167,032, an <br /> increase of $36,000, to support a <br /> satellite seillor thly care center <br /> 9:47 p.m. Selectman Dailey stated Board opposition. <br /> 10:02 p.m. Jonathan Lederman, P7, moved the question. <br />
