13 <br /> • <br /> ADJOURNED SESSION - 1996 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br /> APRIL 22, 1996 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Moderator Margery M. <br /> Battin, at 8 p.m. , in Cary Memorial Hall. <br /> A quorum was present. <br /> ARTICLE '2 REPORTS <br /> 8:10 p.m. Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, Leo <br /> McSweeney, presented a budget update with reductions in <br /> the School, Transportation, Library, and Council on Aging <br /> requests. Article 5 requests will significantly effect <br /> Free Cash and Article 5 will be taken up out of order as <br /> the first article on April 24. <br /> 8: 12 p.m. Paul Hamburger, Long Range Planning Committee, <br /> moved that the report of the committee be accepted and <br /> placed on file. <br /> Following a voice vote at 8: 12 p.m. , the Moderator <br /> declared the report to have been accepted and placed on <br /> file. Mr. Hamburger presented the information. <br /> 8:26 p.m. Karen Dooks, Capital Expenditures Committee, <br /> moved that the report of the committee be accepted and <br /> placed on file. <br /> • Following a voice vote at 8:26 p.m. , the Moderator <br /> declared the report to have been accepted and placed on <br /> file. Mrs. Dooks commented. <br /> 8:34 p.m. Donald Chisholm, Recreation Committee, moved <br /> that the report of the committee be accepted and placed <br /> on file. <br /> Following a voice vote at 8:34 p.m. , the Moderator <br /> declared the report to have been accepted and placed on <br /> file. Mr. Chisholm presented the report. <br /> 8:41 p.m. Mr. McSweeney moved that Articles 6, 7, 8, 9, <br /> 10, 11 , 13, 19, 20 be taken up in that sequence. Adopted <br /> Following a voice vote at 8:41 p.m. , the Moderator <br /> declared unanimous adoption of the motion. <br /> ARTICLE 6 PRIOR YEARS' UNPAID BILLS <br /> MOTION: That this article be indefinitely postponed. IPP <br /> 8:41 p.m. Presented by Selectman McSweeney. <br /> Following a voice vote at 8:41 p.m. , the Moderator <br /> declared unanimous adoption of the motion to indefinitely <br /> postpone. <br /> ARTICLE 7 SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATIONS FOR AUTHORIZED <br /> CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS <br /> MOTION: That this article be indefinitely postponed. IPP <br /> 8:43 p.m. Presented by Selectman McSweeney. <br /> Following a voice vote at 8:43 p.m. , the Moderator <br /> • declared unanimous adoption of the motion to indefinitely <br /> postpone. <br />
