(Amendment to the Report of the By -Laws Committee. <br /> (Cont.) <br /> To amend Section 25 of Article XXV of the General By -Laws of the <br /> Town of Lexington by striking it in its entirety and substituting <br /> therefor the following: <br /> (Amendment No person shall behave or conduct himself on the Battle Green <br /> to Report otherwise than in a quiet and orderly manner in keeping with a <br /> of the respectful regard and reverence for the memory of the patriotic <br /> By -Law service and sacrifice there so nobly rendered. The Selectmen shall <br /> promulgate regulations that define both the standards and procedures <br /> by which they will grant or deny permits under subsection (a), <br /> and the activities allowable without permit under subsection (b).) <br /> There was general discussion including a seven minute opposition <br /> dissertation by Louis A. Zehner who went back to the historical <br /> happenings on the Battle Green to support his stand. 10:58 P.M. <br /> Stephen Michael Politi stated that a majority of the Board of <br /> Selectmen opposed the change in this section and added that the <br /> Town Manager, Chief of Police and Director of Public Works also <br /> opposed the change. 11:02 P.M. <br /> Margery M. McDonough, starting at 11:10 P.M. and completed at <br /> 11:20 P.M.
