Cole, Jr. at 8:01 P.M_ and was immediately recessed subject to the call of <br /> the chair. The meeting was reconvened at 8:11 P.M. <br /> There were 1_79 Town Meeting Members present. <br /> Invocation offered by Reverend Bernard M. Hoy, Curate from the Sacred Heart <br /> Church. 8:13 P.M. <br /> Alfred S. Busa moved that Article 24 be taken up at this time. 8:13 P.M. <br /> Adopted unanimously. <br /> ENERGY CONSERVATION <br /> Article 24. Alfred S. Busa moved to table Article 24. COMMITTEE <br /> Adopted unanimously. 8:14 P.M. <br /> (See Pages 99 & 146.) <br /> Article 2. Joseph O. Rooney, Chairman of the Housing Authority, reported that <br /> although there was the unfortunate fire this evening at the site <br /> of construction of the new elderly housing at the corner of Woburn <br /> and Lowell. Streets, the town has no liability in the one building <br /> which they lost. 8:15 P.M. <br /> Sam V. Nablo asked when Article 24 would be taken up. William J. Dailey, Jr., <br /> Chairman of the Appropriation Committee, answered that his committee had met <br /> tonight and tried to study the $20,000 requested under Article 24. They felt <br /> that more time was needed to further study this request and therefore asked <br /> that the article be tabled. 8:17 P.M. <br /> Article 2. William J. Dailey, Jr_ moved that the report of the Cary Lecture <br /> Committee be accepted and placed on file. 8:17 P.M. <br /> Lionel Arlan, Chairman of the Cary Lecture, spoke of the upcoming <br /> performance on May 1, 1982 - the Dance Collective, a Lexington <br /> based modern dance company - and urged everyone to attend. <br /> 8:18 P.M. <br /> Mr. Dailey's motion to accept the report of the Cary Lecture <br /> Committee and place it on file was adopted unanimously. 8 :18 P.M. <br /> Alfred S. Busa said that the Muzzey School Conversion Committee <br /> would meet tomorrow night (April 15, 1982) and would have a <br /> neighborhood meeting on Wednesday, April 21, 1982 at 8 P.M: <br /> 8:19 P.M. <br /> Article 34. REPLACEMENT OF BACKSTOP <br /> Presented by Carolyn C. Wilson. <br /> MOTION: That the sum of $3,500 be appropriated for the purchase of <br /> a backstop at the Center Playground, including site work in connect- <br /> ion therewith, as determined by the Recreation Committee with the <br /> approval of the Board of Selectmen, and that such amount be raised <br /> in the tax levy. <br /> Adopted unanimously. 8:21 P.M. <br />
