WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION SELF INSURANCE <br /> (passed- <br /> MOTION: That the Town accept Section 13A of Chapter 40 of the see below) <br /> General Laws. <br /> Presented by Jacquelyn Smith. 8:32 p.m. <br /> The Town is self-insuring for Workmen's Compensation costs. The <br /> money is retained until needed and may be used as investment income. <br /> The money would be managed by the Trustees of the Public Trust. <br /> William Welch, Precinct 2, asked what proportion is administrative <br /> costs. Mrs. Smith replied $15,000. 8:36 p.m. <br /> Julian Bussgang, Precinct 4, asked if there were some kind of <br /> insurance on top of self-insurance, and Mrs. Smith replied that there is <br /> catastrophic coverage. 8:36 p.m. <br /> In reply to Robert Donnitz, Precinct 6, Susan Adler, Assistant to <br /> the Town Manager, outlined the claims procedures. 8:37 p.m. <br /> The Moderator declared the motion carried by unanimous voice vote. <br /> 8:38 p.m. <br /> ARTICLE 16. MASSACHUSETTS WATER RESOURCES AUTHORITY <br /> MOTION: That the sum of $1,796,319 be appropriated for the cost (passed- <br /> of the delivery of water and for sewage collection, disposal and see <br /> treatment services provided by the Mass. WATER MAINS <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are authorized to <br /> install new or replacement water mains and clean and line <br /> (passed- <br /> existing water mains in such accepted or unaccepted streets or see <br /> other land as the Selectmen may determine, subject to the Page 118 <br /> assessment of betterments or otherwise, and to take by eminent <br /> domain, purchase or otherwise acquire any fee, easement or reconsidered <br /> interest in land necessary therefor; to appropriate the sun of and <br /> $550,000 for such installation and land acquisition; and that to amended <br /> raise such amount $10,000 be transferred from the Unreserved Page 143) <br /> Fund-Special Assessments and $540,000 be raised in the tax levy. <br />
