He asked that Geoffrey Pierson, Superin- <br /> tendent of Schools be recognized. Dr. Pierson, with the aid of <br /> slides, summarized the school budget. 10 P.M. <br /> After voicing the concerns of the Capital Expenditures Committee <br /> relative to the closing of Maria Hastings School, Richard A. <br /> (Amendment Michelson moved to refer the School Budget, line item #7920, back <br /> Lost) to Committee to be further studied and to be considered after the <br /> vote on Article #35. 10:08 P.M. <br /> Mr. Clough, speaking for the School Committee, and John C. Eddison, <br /> speaking for the Board of Selectmen, urged defeat of the amendment <br /> offered by Mr. Michelson. 10:18 P.M. <br />
