Buss explained the need and current problems, one <br /> of which is that the response time is slow. Purchase replacement <br /> is for a CPU VAX-11/785 from the Di E Corporation. <br /> List price: $361,000 approx. Bid price: $333,048. <br /> DEC's contribution: $200,000. To be�paid b the Town of Lexin <br /> $133,000. Frei wirin and insurance: $2,000. <br /> Appropriation re $135,000. <br /> 9:47 P.M. <br /> C. Edward Good, Co-ordinator of Information Science for the Schools, <br /> explained the computer s in the school department. Marshall said that the Board of Selectmen unanimousl <br /> opposed this article. The feel that it is a poorl conceived <br /> pro and the proponents have not looked at alternatives. <br /> 10:03 P.M. <br /> Michael J. O'Sullivan said that the Appropriation Committee <br /> recommend favorable action on this article. The believe that it is <br /> a cost effective purchase. 10:10 P.M. <br /> Daniel L.
