Ms. Miller is regarded as a leader in the field of community arts for more
than 20 years. Ms. Miller presented a broad range of public art projects in other
communities with which she was involved. The projects included
sculpture, performance art, murals and other visual art, music, and other
work related to arts and culture. Specific examples included footprints on
the sidewalk that described a dance lesson, extra long dining tables so all
community members could experience "a seat at the table", holiday lights
displayed, milkweed in biodegradable balloons, and musicians spanning
the Esplanade.
C.
