<br />October 30, 2019 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />Selectmen’s Meeting <br />October 30, 2019 <br />A meeting of the Lexington Board of Selectmen was called to order at 6:30 PM. on Wednesday, <br />October 30, 2019 at the Hadley Public Services Building Cafeteria, 201 Bedford Street. Present <br />for the Board of Selectmen were Doug Lucente, Chair; Joe Pato; Suzie Barry, Jill Hai and Mark <br />Sandeen. Also present were James Malloy, Town Manager; Kelly Axtell, Deputy Town Manager <br />and Kim Katzenback, Executive Clerk. <br />ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION <br />1. Liquor License - Change of Manager - Element <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Selectmen voted 5-0 to approve the <br />application reflecting a Change of Manager to be Shamara Lamar and issue an All-Alcoholic <br />Innholder Liquor License for Lixi Hospitality Lexington FB MGT, Inc. d/b/a Element Lexington <br />located at 727 Marrett Road–B reflecting the same. <br />2. Liquor License - Change of Manager and Officers/Directors - Lexington Lodge of Elks <br />B.P.O.E. #2204 <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Selectmen voted 5-0 to approve the <br />application reflecting a Change of Manager, as well as a Change of Officers/Directors, and issue <br />an All Alcoholic Club Liquor License to the Lexington Lodge of Elks B.P.O.E. #2204, 959 <br />Waltham Street. <br />3. Discuss Potential Creation of Advisory Committee for Hartwell Avenue-Route 4/225 <br />Bedford Street-Wood Street 25% Design Transportation Improvement Project <br />Mr. Lucente explained that as a follow up to the October 17, 2019 Joint Meeting with the Planning <br />Board, the Board of Selectmen will contemplate creating an Advisory Committee for the Hartwell <br />Avenue-Route 4/225 Bedford Street-Wood Street 25% Design Transportation Improvement <br />Project in the event that Article 8 passes at the 2019 Special Town Meeting. <br />Mr. Malloy said the nature of Special Town Meeting Article 8 is for design work which the <br />engineers would develop a proposed design in accordance with Massachusetts Department of <br />Transportation. He advised of his concerns of a committee be formed to direct the design. He <br />advised should a committee be considered, the committee charge would need to be very clear as <br />to the specificity of the advisory nature. <br />The Board agreed it will be necessary to develop a clear process for c engagement with the whole <br />community to hear and identify community concerns to include a sufficient number of outreach <br />sessions. The Board felt it is worth further consideration of the development of some type of group <br /> <br /> <br />
