<br />Joint Meeting October 7, 2019 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />Joint Meeting <br />Board of Selectmen and School Committee <br />October 7, 2019 <br />A Joint meeting of the Lexington Board of Selectmen and the School Committee was called to <br />order at 7:17 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2019 in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room, Town Office <br />Building. Present for the Board of Selectmen (BOS): Mr. Lucente, Chair; Mr. Pato; Ms. Barry, <br />Ms. Hai and Mr. Sandeen as well as Mr. Malloy, Town Manager; Ms. Axtell, Deputy Town <br />Manager; and Ms. Katzenback, Executive Clerk. <br />Present from the School Committee were Eileen Jay, Chair; Scott Bokun; Kathleen Lenihan; <br />Depika Sawhney and Dr. Julie Hackett, Superintendent. <br />Integrated Building Design & Construction Policy <br />Mr. Malloy said the Integrated Building Design & Construction Policy has been worked on for the <br />past year. At this point, School Committee, PBC, Sustainable Lexington, DPF, School <br />Superintendent and Town Manager have all contributed to the final document. Mr. Malloy said <br />this document was also reviewed by the Selectmen's Policy Committee. Mr. Malloy noted that <br />should the Board and School Committee approve the policy tonight, the Police Station will be the <br />first building designed under this policy. <br />Upon a motion duly and made and seconded, the Board of Selectmen voted 5-0 to approve the <br />Integrated Building Design & Construction Policy with minor edits. <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the School Committee voted 4-0 to approve the Integrated <br />Building Design & Construction Policy with minor edits <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Selectmen voted 5-0 to close the Joint <br />meeting at 7:20 p.m. The School Committee voted the same. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Selectmen voted 5-0 to adjourn the Joint <br />meeting at 7:24 p.m. The School Committee voted to adjourn at 7:24 p.m. <br />A true record; Attest: <br />Kim Katzenback <br />Executive Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
