TOWN WARRANT <br /> Town of Lexington <br /> Special Town Meets 2016-2 <br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts Middlesex, ss. <br /> To any of the Constables of the Town of Lexington Greetings: <br /> r <br /> f <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify the inhabitants of the <br /> Torn of Lexington qualified to vote in elections and in Town affairs to meet the Margery Milne Battin <br /> Auditorium in Cary Memorial Binding, 1605 Massachusetts Avenue, in said Town on Monday, February 8, 2016 <br /> at 7:35 p. .., at which time and place the following articles are to be acted upon and determined exclusively by the <br /> Town fleeting Members in accordance,with Chapter 215 of the Acts of 1929, as amended, and subject to the <br /> referendum provided for by Section eight of said Chapter, as amended. <br /> ARTICLE I REPORTS OF TOWN BOARDS, OMCERS, COMMITTEES <br /> To re ei e the reports of any Board or Town Officer or of any Committee of the Tows., or act in any other manner <br /> in relation thereto. <br /> (Inserted by the Board of Selechnen) <br /> ARTICLE 2 LAID PURCHASE-20 PEEHAM ROAD <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to take by eminent domait,purchase or otherwise acquire, <br /> for municipal or school purposes, any fee, easement, or other interest in all or any part of land known as 20 Pelham <br /> Road d and shown as lot 65 A an Assessors' Property Map 3 1,and to appropriate a sum of money therefor and for <br /> associated design, engineering and architectural services for pians and specifications and related costs in connection <br /> with said property; and determine whether the money shall be provided by the tax levy,by transfer from available <br /> funds, or by borrowing, or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other manner in relation.thereto. <br /> (Inserted by the Board of Selectmen) <br /> FUNDS REQUESTED: unknown at press time <br /> DBSCRI]PTIN; This article requests authority and finding to purchase or take by eminent domain the <br /> property at 20 Pelham Road, owned by the Armenian Sisters and formerly used as an elementary school, to <br /> be used for municipal or school purposes. <br /> And you are directed to serve this warrant not less than fourte'e'n days at least before the time of said meeting, as <br /> provided in the Bylaws of the Town. <br /> Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, on or before the <br /> time of said meeting. <br /> Given under our hands this l I"'day of January 2016. <br /> Joseph N.
