ARRANT <br /> ` c� v <br /> I'C)it A <br /> 1895\� APRILIq' <br /> To WILLIAM B, FOSTER, Constable of Lexington, Greeting; <br /> In the name of the Comnionwealth' of Massachusetts you are hereby sregttired to notify and <br /> warn the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington, qualified by law to vote in town affairs. <br /> to assemble at the <br /> Towo Hall, uo Saluid'q, Iel'wooll-oiol al ot J <br /> An D., 1895, of 7 .30 o'clock, P. M . , <br /> to act on the following Articles, namely:— <br /> Art. i. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting. <br /> Art. 2. To hear the report of any committee that may ready to report and act thereon. <br /> Art. 3. To see if the town will authorize its Selectmen to purchase of the Lexington.Water Company its <br /> whole water rights, estates, franchises and privileges for a sum not exceeding two hundred thousand (200,000) <br /> dollars. <br /> Art. 4. To see if the Town will issue its bonds in payment for the whole water rights, estates, fi•anchises <br /> and privileges of the Lexington Water Company, redeemable in twentv (20) years from date, at such rate of in- <br /> terest and in such form as the Selectmen may determine, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br /> Art. 5. To see if the Town will purchase the corporate property, franchise, and all the rights and privi- <br /> leges of the Lexington Water Company. <br /> Art. 6. To see if the Town will vote to place a heating apparatus in the Alms House, and make ;in ap- <br /> propriation therefor. <br /> Art- 7. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to sell a portion of the lot on which the Hancock <br /> Engine House stands on Merriam street, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br /> Art. 8. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to purchase a parcel of land in the rear of the <br /> Hancock Engine House lot, on Merriam street, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br /> Art. g. To see if the Town will accept and adopt the provisions of Chapter 382 of the acts of 1871, in <br /> relation to the assessment of betterments. <br /> Art. io. To see what action the Town will take iA relation to an order of the County Commissioners to <br /> build 682 feet of road from the railroad to Bedford town line, and appropriate gamey therefor. <br /> Art. i i. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to adjust any damage:,for land taken on the linc <br /> of the New State Highway, and make an appropriation therefor. <br /> Art. 12. To see if the Town will authorize their Treasurer, under the direction of the Selectmen to borrovy <br /> a sum of money in anticipation of the collection of taxes of the present year, in addition to the amount authorized <br /> at the annual meeting. <br /> Hereof fail not, and make due return of this Warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town <br /> Clerk, on or before the time of said meeting. <br /> Given under our hands at Lexington, this fourteenth day of June.
