Any problems or issues that cannot be resolved by the Police <br />Prosecutor should be brought to the attention of the Detective <br />Lieutenant. <br /> <br />2. In addition to the above liaison activities, the Chief of Police or a designee <br />will attend regional or county meetings that specifically address matters <br />and issues before the courts. <br /> <br />B. PROBATION, PAROLE AND CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES <br /> <br />1. The Detective Commander is responsible for the Department's liaison <br />with the Corrections Department, Parole Officers, the State Bureau of <br />Identification, and Probation Officers. <br /> <br />2. The Detective Commander shall regularly share information and inquire <br />about the status of known offenders within the community, as well as <br />those individuals currently incarcerated. <br /> <br />3. When known offenders pose a danger or threat to the community, the <br />Detective Commander will provide the Chief of Police and other members <br />of the command staff appropriate notice. <br /> <br />C. LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES <br /> <br />1. Many crimes are multi-jurisdictional in nature and require cooperation and <br />coordination between adjoining jurisdictions in order to successfully <br />prevent and control crime. All members of the Lexington Police <br />Department will be committed to maintaining a quality relationship with <br />neighboring law enforcement agencies. <br /> <br />2. The Detective Bureau Commander shall be responsible for the Lexington <br />Police Department's liaison with other law enforcement agencies in all <br />matters involving criminal investigations. These liaison duties will include: <br /> <br />a. Coordinating any investigations of a joint nature or spanning <br />jurisdictional boundaries; <br />b. Sharing intelligence information which may help solve or prevent <br />serial crimes, drug or gang activity, organized crime, or other <br />criminal offenses; and <br />c. Participating in professional organizations and meetings organized <br />to identify, investigate and prosecute regional offenders. <br />d. Liaison with Hanscom Air Force Base security forces and Office of <br />Special Investigations (OSI). <br /> <br />3. The Captain of Operations shall: <br /> <br />a. Ensure that information concerning wanted persons, missing <br />persons, criminal or other police information is properly received
