Corr, Chief of Police <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Prior to discharging required duties, officers appointed to or promoted within, including <br />retired officers who wish to maintain their standing as a Special Police Officer as a sworn <br />member of the Lexington Police Department, shall take and subscribe to the following <br />oath before the Town Clerk or Assistant Clerk. <br /> <br />"I, (state your name), do solemnly swear that I will bear true faith and <br />allegiance to the United States of America and the Commonwealth of <br />Massachusetts and will support the constitutions and laws thereof. So <br />help me God." <br /> <br />"I, (state your name), do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and <br />impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as <br />a (state rank) of the Town of Lexington and will obey and be bound by <br />such laws, rules and regulations as are or may be, from time to time <br />laid down for the government of the police department of said Town. <br />So help me God." <br /> <br />A person who is to be appointed as a member of the force shall also subscribe his name <br />to the following agreement: <br /> <br />"I, (printed name) hereby accept the office of (rank) on the police force <br />of the Town of Lexington." <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
