CARY LECTURE COMMITTEE <br /> Members: 4(3 Full and 1 Associate) <br /> Appointed By: Town Moderator <br /> Length of Term: 1 year <br /> Appointments made: June 30 <br /> Meering Times: As needed <br /> Description: in 1911,two Lexington sisters, Suzanna Cary and Eliza Cary Farnham, left money to the Town to <br /> establish The Isaac Cary Educational Fund. The Funds two purposes were to 1)provide annual scholarships to <br /> Lexington's young people,and 2)to "provide lectures upon such educational and useful subjects as may promise <br /> beneiit to the community." The second purpose resulted in the Cary Lecture Series,offering free lectures/events to <br /> Lexington residents. Committee members determine which events will be offered each year then plans and <br /> i�nplements them. <br /> Criteria for Membership:None <br /> Ref.:Will of Suzanna Cary and Eliza Cary Farnham, 1911. <br /> Selectmen designated as Special Municipal Employees on April 24, 1963. <br /> Selectmen reaffirmed designa�tion as Special Municipal Employees on January 18,2006. <br />
