<br />MINUTES <br /> <br />FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br /> <br />June 18, 2013 <br />4:30 p.m., Selectmen’s Office <br /> <br />Present: Norman Cohen, Father Colletti, Edmund Grant, Alan Wrigley; Emily Lavine, Assistant <br />Director of Family and Human Services, Human Services Department. <br /> <br />1. Money Available as of 5/31/13 Income $82,000 <br /> Principal $120,000 <br /> <br /> <br />2. Human Services: <br />a. Human Services Report: April 10, 2013 to June 18, 2013. <br />Emily Lavine gave the Human Services report. The Human Services Emergency <br />Checking Account was used to pay an excise bill and to provide Market Basket food <br />cards. <br />b. Ratify Poll Vote - Human Services Request to pay $1,500 to help with child care – <br />ratified 4-0. <br />c. The Human Services Request to pay $1,800 for back rent was discussed and it was <br />decided that the applicant was worthy of more help. It was voted 4-0 to approve <br />$2,535 for this purpose. <br /> <br />3. Other Issues: <br />a. The request to pay $6,800 for the Center Flower Barrels was approved 4-0. <br />b. The Lincoln Park Subcommittee’s request for $10,000 for the bathrooms at <br />Lincoln Park was discussed. It was the consensus of the majority of the members <br />that this request did not meet the purposes of the Fund. A future request for funds <br />to beautify the area after the construction is completed could be considered at that <br />time. <br /> <br />4. Next Meeting <br /> The next meeting will be on September 24, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />5. Approval of the April 9, 2013 minutes - Approved 4-0. <br /> <br />
