<br />MINUTES <br /> <br />FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br /> <br />January 28, 2014 <br />4:30 p.m., Selectmen’s Office <br /> <br />Present: Norman Cohen, Father Colletti, Edmund Grant, Alan Wrigley; Emily Lavine, Assistant <br />Director of Family and Human Services, Human Services Department. <br /> <br />1. Money Available as of 12/31/13 Income $50,703 <br /> Principal $124,750 <br /> <br /> <br />2. Human Services: <br />a. Human Services Report: October 23, 2013 to January 28, 2014. <br />The strong need for assistance continued unabated during this period. $5,768 was <br />spent from the Emergency Fund. None of this expenditure involved homeless <br />families housed in the Quality Inn. <br />b. Ratify Poll Vote - Human Services Request for $3,000 for Human Services <br />Emergency Fund (11/12/13) – Ratified 4-0. <br />c. Ratify Poll Vote – Human Services Request for $1,824.50 for Holiday Gift Cards – <br />Ratified 4-0 <br />d. The Human Services New Request for $2,500 for the Human Services Emergency <br />Fund was approved 4-0. <br />e. Letters of thanks for gift cards were noted. <br /> <br />3. Other Issues: <br />a. The East Lexington Community Association request for $1,860.00 for 2013 <br />Flower Barrels was approved 4-0. <br />b. The Lions Club thank you letter regarding the Lincoln Field bathrooms was <br />noted. <br />c. Fund for Lexington solicitation costs were $1,676.87 for printing and $1,774.78 <br />for postage. The response made the costs worthwhile. <br />d. Three hundred and four donations totaling $31,015 between 11/18/13 and 1/24/14 <br />were noted. <br /> <br />4. Next Meeting <br /> The next meeting will be on April 29, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />5. Approval of the October 22, 2013 minutes - Approved 4-0. <br /> <br />
