<br />MINUTES <br /> <br />FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br /> <br />April 9, 2013 <br />4:30 p.m., Selectmen’s Office <br /> <br />Present: Norman Cohen, Father Colletti, Edmund Grant, Alan Fields; Emily Lavine, Assistant <br />Director of Family and Human Services, Human Services Department; and Ryan Lennon, <br />Lexington-Bedford Veterans’ Services District Director. <br /> <br />1. Money Available as of 2/28/13 Income $84,820 <br /> Principal $117,288 <br /> <br /> <br />2. Human Services: <br />a. Human Services Report: October 2, 2012 to January 8, 2013. <br />Emily Lavine gave the Human Services report. The Human Services Emergency <br />Checking Account was used to pay a utility bill and a rental bill. <br />b. The Human Services Request to pay $500.00 for the purchase of Market Basket gift <br />cards was approved 4-0. <br />c. The Human Services Request to pay $2,000 for the Human Services Emergency <br />Checking Account was approved 4-0. <br />d. The Veterans’ Services Request to pay $9,361.90 for the Center Pool Flagpole <br />Memorial was approved 4-0. Ryan Lennon explained the request. <br /> <br />3. Other Issues: <br />a. The request of the East Lexington Community Association for $1,638.00 to hang <br />wreaths on both sides of the telephone poles on one side of Massachusetts Avenue <br />from the Pleasant Street rotary to the Lexington/Arlington line was approved 4-0. <br />Wilson Farm donated the labor. <br />b. The request of the Antony Working Group of the Tourism Committee for a <br />$5,000 contribution towards the design of Antony Park at the eastern end of <br />Tower Park was approved 4-0 contingent on a matching grant from the Trustees <br />of Public Trusts and continued private fundraising. <br /> <br />4. Next Meeting <br /> The next meeting will be on June 18, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />5. Approval of the January 9, 2013 minutes - Approved 4-0. <br /> <br />
