DEP 201-1130 BL 1087 <br /> NOI, 140 Marrett Road <br /> Applicant: The Manuel Baptise Estate <br /> Project: Removal of fill within the 100 foot buffer zone and 200 foot riverfront area <br /> Documents Received: NOI application/plans/stream stats (4-3-2019) <br /> Mr. Rich Kirby presented before the Commission. Ms. Marion O'Shaughessy, the property <br /> owner was in attendance. <br /> Mr. Kirby stated that over the last few years the home owner and her relatives have been <br /> storing and dumping fill onto the property, specifically on the rear lot of 140 Marrett Road. <br /> 140 Marrett Road directly abuts wetlands which are delineated along the property lines. The <br /> lot additionally comes within the 200 foot riverfront area. The two resource area delineations <br /> encapsulate most of the rear lot of 140 Marrett Road. <br /> Mr. Kirby stated that the applicant is proposing to remove all fill and debris that has collected <br /> on the property over time with the remaining exposed areas to be restored. The restoration <br /> project will use conservation wildlife mix and New England wildflower mix. Closer to the <br /> wetland they will plant New England Wetland seed mix in addition to erosion control seed <br /> mix. Blueberry bushes are proposed to be planted on the wetland border. <br /> Mr. Beuttell inquired whether FENO markers should be placed. <br /> Mr. Kirby agreed that some sort of monument may be a good idea however the property was <br /> recently surveyed. <br /> The Commission discussed the possibility of installing 6 or so boulders along the 25 foot no <br /> disturb zone. <br /> Chairman Hamilton asked that after the wetlands are cleared of the dumped soil that the <br /> wetland be re-delineated in the area where the fill was in or adjacent to the wetland. <br /> On a motion by Mr. Langseth and seconded by Mr. Beuttell, the Commission voted 5-0 to <br /> close the hearing. <br /> Continued Public Hearings <br /> DEP 201-1120 BL 1076 <br /> NOI, 244 Wood Street <br /> Applicant: MIT Lincoln Labs <br /> Project: Proposed electrical building modifications within the 100 foot buffer zone <br /> Previous Hearings: 1-7-2019, 1-28-2019, 2-11-2019, 2-25-2019, 3-11-2019, 3-25-2019, 4-8- <br /> 2019 <br /> *Request to continue to Monday, 4/29/19 at 7:00 PM <br />
