Page 118 <br /> June 7, 1976 <br /> OnMonday evening June 7, 1976, the Lexington School Committee con- <br /> ducted a meeting at the School Administration Building. The meeting be- <br /> gan at 8:00 p.m. Present were Mrs. Swanson, Messrs. Brown, Michelman, <br /> Rotberg, Wadsworth and student representative Nancy Abelmann, Also pre- <br /> sent were Messrs. Spiris, Barnes, Maclnnes, Monderer and Miss Quinn. <br /> Mrs. Swanson on behalf of the school committee acknowledged the ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS <br /> fine services given to the teachers and students in the Lexington Public <br /> Schools from the Rotarians, Lions, Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce and other <br /> service clubs. She gave the compliments of the school system to these <br /> organizations for all their endeavors. <br /> Mr. Spiris reported that 256 applications had been received for ASSISTANT <br /> the position of Assistant Superintendent (Instructional Services) . He SUPERINTENDENT <br /> said that on Wednesday evening of that week the initial screening by the APPLICATIONS <br /> central office staff would take place. It would be concluded by Friday. <br /> The applications surviving the screening would be presented to Dr. <br /> Lawson, Monday, June 14. The suggested schedule included interviews <br /> by the public interview committee during the week of June 21, with the <br /> recommendation being made by the Superintendent on the evening of July 6. <br /> Dr. Rotberg requested a list of the applicants.
