Page 74 <br /> April 5, 1976 <br /> A vote on the amendment was called: <br /> (Rotberg, Yes; Brown, Michelman, Swanson, Wadsworth, No) <br /> A vote on the original motion was called: <br /> (Wadsworth, Brown, Swanson, Yes: Rotberg, Michelman, No) <br /> The discussion began with a motion by Mr. Brown: MATRONS <br /> that the amount placed in the budget for matrons be reduced from <br /> $21,000 to $5,000. The motion was seconded by Dr. Rotberg. Mr. Brown <br /> asked Mr. MacInnes if the hiring of 5 matrons for Lexington High School <br /> during the day would curb the $500,000 vandalism loss. Mr. Maclnnes re- <br /> sponded saying perhaps a little reduction would occur but vandalism in <br /> non-school time was still a huge problem. He also said that the vanda- <br /> lism figure seemed to increase each time it was used and wished to put <br /> the figure in proper perspective. He stated that vandalism costs were <br /> in the $150,000 to $200,000 range and not the higher figure being quo- <br /> ted. <br /> After a brief discussion a vote on the motion was called: <br /> (Brown, Rotberg, Michelman, Yes; Swanson, Wadsworth, No) <br /> Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools the follow- PERSONNEL <br /> ing Personnel Changes were accepted.
