(Brown, Wadsworth, <br /> Unanimous) (See next page) <br /> Mr. Spiris presented all the available information on staffing for PERSONAL SERVICES <br /> elementary and junior high schools to the School Committee. He noted BUDGET <br /> his focus is on reducing class size which he felt was a step in the right <br /> direction. He explained that no elementary class was being planned <br /> higher than 26 students. The superintendent said he had worked with each <br /> principal on this plan for each building. <br /> He proceeded to review the information presented which included pro- <br /> fessional and classified personnel (K-6 teachers, aides, specialists) . <br /> Additional information will be forthcoming for P.P.S. , Systemwide Ser- <br /> vices, High School, etc. <br /> The committee agreed to ask questions regarding this budget when <br /> each principal appeared at the schedule budget sessions. <br /> Upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent of Schools PERSONNEL <br /> it was CHANGES <br /> (CLASSIFIED) <br /> VOTED: to accept Personnel Changes (Classified) as presented. <br /> (Berchtold, Wadsworth, Unanimous) <br /> Upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent of Schools PERSONNEL <br /> it was CHANGES <br /> (PROFESSIONAL) <br /> VOTED: <br /> <br /> <br /> Dr. DiGiammarino and Dr., Guldager presented the School Committee NOVEMBER 10 <br /> with the evaluation results of the Chapter 766 In-Service Day on Nov- EVALUATION <br /> ember 10, 1975. The results were most positive. The School Committee <br /> agreed that they had also heard many positive comments. The next step <br /> in the process was revealed by the reporters as follows: The high school <br /> will have a workshop follow-up; each building principal will hopefully <br /> do likewise, and a consultant will be available for assisting in writing <br /> behavorial objectives. <br /> Commendations were expressed by School Committee and School Admini- <br /> stration to staff for their endeavors on November 10, 1975. <br /> Mr. Donald Johnson, Reading Program Manager, presented a brief re- LEARNING <br /> port to the School Committee regarding the October Reading Learning CENTER <br /> Center. Results were very positive. <br />
