MINUTES <br /> 4/15/75 <br /> Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, it was <br /> VOTED: To accept the Schedule of Payments as presented. <br /> (Swanson, Brown, Unanimous) (See next page) SCHEDULE OF <br /> • PAYMENTS <br /> Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, it was <br /> VOTED: To accept the resignation of Roberta P. Deemer as of 6/30/75. <br /> (Swanson, Brown, Unanimous). PERSONNEL <br /> CHANGES <br /> (certificated) <br /> On April 15, Mr. Sam Nablo and the Citizens Advisory Committee <br /> presented an interim report on the reassignment of pupils. Please <br /> refer to April 15 minutes . The committee returned this evening to take <br /> part in a general discussion regarding the report. CAC <br /> INTERIM REPORT <br /> Mr. Paul Rempfer took the opportunity to give an analysis of busing <br /> implications for elementary schools in the event of school closings. If the <br /> one mile criteria is used, approximately 483 additional students will be <br /> bused by 1980. Statistics were not available but it was his feeling that <br /> most of these students live within the 1 1/3 mile limit. He gave the school <br /> committee a breakdown of the number of students at each school who would <br /> be involved in busing or walking to other schools. Following this analysis, <br /> a page by page review of the report was conducted by Mrs. Berchtold with <br /> Mr. Noble and Mr. Rempfer clarifying areas of concern. <br /> Mr. Nablo said it woul.:i take approximately 100 manhours to do the <br /> report again. Renovation information for the schools can be added to it. <br /> • He felt the most useful feature of this report was the rational way the <br /> .districts were designed. The final report will be -submitted in two weeks <br /> Mrs . Berchtold read a letter dated 4/16/75 from a group of parents <br /> regarding the proliferation of fund raising projects in which elementary and <br /> Jr. High School students are asked to take part. Some of these projects <br /> include selling products door-to-door in the community. The letter <br /> puctstioned the educationalvalue of such procedures and commented <br />
