The Historic Districts Coun scion held a meeting immediately
following the hearing on the application of the Hancock
Ccn�regational Church. All Comrissione rs and alternates were
pr :sent.
The Comw1assioners discussed the petition of the Hancock
Congregatinnal Church at some length. Mr. Davis read a letter
from Dr.Norman Heboyer , abutter to the west, in which he
stated his opposition fo the addition. After consider:3ble
discussion of the effect such an addition would have on
the appearance of the Battle green by the ComxrA ssioners, it
was voted unanimously to de3y the application and the
Commissioners proceeded, to draft the deten,:ination.

exchange of Acts, maps, foram, eto. Yjr.Taylor will reply to

Letter was also discussed regarding Round fable Conference
recently he3ff at New Ocean House.
Letter read from Mies Tuttle of 12 Hancock 5t.regarding fence
and barn on Masonic property which she dislikes. Mr.Davis
talked with her and advised her to contact trust6ee of Masonic
Temple .
Discussion on paintln-r and. sign on store no'.-7 being oceuppied
by Sherwin-Williams Paint. Both Mr.Taylor and Mr.Sanith have
been in touch with them and Mr. Davis will contact them again,
so they will get in an application for painting store and

also send copy of occupants of stores as well in business

Ahe historic Districts Commission held a meeting immediately
following the hearing: on the application of the Hancock
Congregational Church. All Commissioners and, alternates were
present.
The Commission, consisting of Messrs. Davis , Smith, Kettell,
Parsons and Taylor, discussed the petition of the Hancock Congregational
Church at some length. After zonsiderable discussion of the
effect such an addition would have on the appearance of the Battle
Green by the Commissioners , it wzs voted unanimously to deny the
application. The Commissioners then proceeded to draft the
determination®
Mr. Davis read a letter from Mr. Nelson of Nantucket proposing
