A meet inV' of the Distorie Districts Commission was held
Monda evening at BtOQ P.1�0. February 11, 1957 at the home
of Mr.0harles Davis . Present were Mrs.Me--°riams Messrs.
Davie , Howard, Parsons , Smith and. Kettell.
Due to a conflict in dates, Mr.Daviz sa `d. it would be
necessary to change the date of the hearing on Mr,Walker's
application from March 5th to March 6th. He is to get in
touch with Mr. Taylor on this and Mre.'l'horas will tee that the
notice gets to the Minute -Man.
On the: Cary Memorial Library addition, it was the sense of
the inkeeting that if the Entrance could be simplified, windows
out clown se what, and the front hkaanged to stucco, more in
keeping with this rent of the building, no other changes would
be necessary. An opinion from Mr,Harold Stevens was obtained,
to the effect that be felt the com ission ssould cask for
these minor changes and then when assured they would be done ,
could grant ra certificate of appropriateness without another
hearing. Mr. Davis and Mr. Kettell wi 1 contact Yr. 6elding,,
Chairman of the Addition Commil tee. If this change and new
plans or sketches are made, it was voted then to Issue a '
`-'ertificate of Appropriateness.
There wns then a discus ion of the form; of the Certificate
of Appropriateness and Mr.i�nith will. see about having these
par•inted.
It was decided that in sending cut notices for the hearing
on Mr. walker's application, to also send, notices to the
°am oreskis, Davis' , Quinlans and Cray Nuns on Eliot Rd. as we' l
as those in the; Munroe District.
Mr.Howerd then discussed the form to be sent to those people
who have failed to make application for a Certificate of
Appropriateness and this foray: was approved. This form will
be sent, togther with a sheet of instructions for :Its use
and ea copy of the Act to any one .Uh o s hou'S d hove it. The
instruction sheet was discussed and some changes made.
The Pbrm of Application of Certificate of appropriateness
was also discussed and changes made here. It was decided
to not have these forms printed but to have these, mimeographed
( or Fome similier form) . Mrs- Thomas will, attend to these,
having about 100 of each form madee, with the aid of
Mr.Daxter Smith.
