Environmental Bond Bill earmark for the proposed LHS-Community Center Connector.
• Mike attended the Battle Road Scenic Byway meeting. No projects to update.
New Business:
• Fairland Street trail opportunity - Mark Barons has purchased 6 acres off Fairland St, above
Lincoln St, and plans to put in a housing development. He intends to put a walking path con-
necting to 185 Lincoln and would like to connect to the ACROSS system. He will do
all the work, but would like a letter of support from GCC as he goes before the Planning
Board. We would want a formal easement for ACROSS access, and an understanding that
the homeowners association would take care of trail maintenance. Keith will draft a letter,
and will also arrange a site visit for interested GCC members.
• Concord Ave Land Management Plan - Keith had an email from a woman interested in our
plans for that area - she had accessed meeting minutes from April 2018. He responded and
connected her with Alex Dohanme who has e-mailed her. 1 haveeme.4 h but not heard
back. Alexi will reach out again. It would be good to get Kate McCrary and Mary Rose Scoz-
zafava (working on Conservation Restrictions with CLC) involved. Alex twill try to set up a
site visit, and be in touch with the Conservation Dept.
• Susan got photos for the next brochure, and funding request (PIR) has been submitted to
Carol Kowalski for the next printing. If approved, funds will be available July 1, 2019.
Pending Items:
• We had a brief discussion about which route to tackle next. Options put forward: Wright
Farm, Blossomcrest/Hayden Woods, Daisy Wilson Meadow, Brookhaven. Probably time to
meet with Karen again and update the priority spreadsheet.
Next Meeting: December 20, 2018, 4:30-6:OOpm, Ellen Stone Room
Future meeting dates, 2019: Jan 17, Feb 21, Mar 21, Apr 18 (vacation week), May 16, Jun 13
(2nd Thursday)
Respectfully Submitted by
Alexandra Dohan, Secretary
