LEARY PROPERTY COMMUNITY HOUSING TASK FORCE FINAL REPORT <br /> MAY 25, 2011 <br /> SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> This Report recommends the following: <br /> • 5 or 6 units in one or two structures <br /> o The structures would approximate the mass of the large modern home directly <br /> across the street from the Leary Land, and should be sited in such a way as to leave <br /> open a view of the Leary conservation land. <br /> • Demolition Delay Bylaw—The Selectmen, or their designee, should make prompt <br /> application to the Commission for a demolition permit. <br /> • Investigate a mini traffic study with traffic mitigation measures <br /> • Project be a near-zero energy development <br /> • LexHAB as developer <br /> o It is expected that as the plans for the property are developed,there will continue <br /> to be meetings with the neighbors. <br /> o The Task Forces recommends that the developer, whether LexHAB or not, provide <br /> more information for residents and continue to work toward a consensus solution <br /> that offers reasonable satisfaction to all stakeholders. <br /> • Local funding options be used <br /> • Local Initiative Program should be used for project permitting <br /> 1 <br />
