Lexington March 24th. 1817. D Cts <br />Then the Selectmen of said town met at the House <br />of Mr Nathan Dudley and granted the following orders Viz, <br />No. 21) An order to pay IUJr Thomas Winship Ten - Dollars <br />25 Viz Six Dollars for_ Extra work done on the highways <br />100 in the capacity of Surveyor and Four Dollars 25 for <br />Gutting and teaming wood far -the East District -100 <br />School and i 0ord of -good found sd . school. <br />No 22) An order to pay Mr Tonathan Winship Three Dollars <br />93 For repairing the•East District, Schoolhouse <br />100 <br />10 25 <br />3 93 <br />29 <br />Contracts for the Poor. IMaroh 31st 1817 <br />At a meeting of the Selectmen at the house of Mr <br />Nathn Dudley they then let out to the lowest bidder the <br />following of the Poor Viz Mr Tonathan Smith bid off <br />Stephen Hartwell at .5/6 pr wk to comrence .April 1st 1817 <br />Mr Thomas Locke bid off James Munroe at <br />4/6 pr wk to commence April 1st 1817 - <br />Mr Nathan Munroe bid off Asa Robinson at <br />5/6 pr Wk to commence 19th of April 1817 <br />Major Samuel Hastings took Amasa Adams on <br />wages for Thirty two Dollars for one year. The term of <br />time for all the contracts is to empire on the 1st day <br />April 1818. both for the above Poor and all those who may <br />hereafter be let out the ensuing year at Publick Vendue <br />The Selactmen contracted with the following Persons Vi.z., <br />Mr -Jonas Peirce of Westminister then agreed <br />to take Jonathan Commee one year at 8/6 pr Wk. <br />Mr E] iab W. Metcalf agreed to keep Mrs Swaney <br />for 5/0 pr Wk: <br />May 19th 1817 Mr Nathan Dudley agreed to keep <br />Stephen Munroe for -7/0 pr Wk <br />Tune 23rd 1817 Mr "Nathan Munroe then agreed <br />to keep Hannah Champney for 4/6 pr Wk. <br />30 March 31st 1817 The Selectmen then granted D Cts <br />No 23) An order to pay Mr Thomas Locke Seventy seven <br />Dollars 42 Viz, Fortynine Dollard for- boarding Stephen 49 00 <br />10& Hartwell _. -of a year, and Twenty 'Hight Dollars 28 00 <br />8/100 for House rent, -provisions and fuel found the Widow <br />Eunice Blodgett as pr Contract of the Selectmen 77 42 <br />No 24) An order to Day Mr Jonas Munroe Four Dollars <br />and 87/100 Viz For Spirit and Wine Delivered to Joseph <br />Mason when sick Two Dollars 12/100 and for refreshment <br />found .the..Comm ttee when measuring the road Two Dollars <br />75/100 <br />4 87 <br />
