Muzzey , Constable of the town of <br /> Lexington Greeting ; <br /> You are hereby required in the name of <br /> the Commonwealth of Massachusetts , to notify & <br /> warn the inhabitants of the town of Lexington9 <br /> who are qualified to vote in town affairs , to <br /> assemble at the Old Meetinghouse in said town on <br /> Monday the fourth day of March next , at nine <br /> o t clock A. M. to act on the following articles : <br /> viz : <br /> Article l . ) To choose a Moderator to presid at <br /> said meeting - <br /> Art . 2 . ) To choose town officers - <br /> Art . 3 . ) To choose School Committee . <br /> Art . 4 ® ) To see if the town will authorise the <br /> Prudential Committee men to employ the Teachers <br /> for the several schools - <br /> Arto 5 . ) To grant money for the support of <br /> Public Schools for the year ensuingr <br /> Art . 6 , ) To adopt measures to collect taxes for <br /> the ensuing year - <br /> Art . 7 . ) To adopt measures ® to repair Highways <br /> the ensuing year & grant money for that purpose - <br /> Art . 8 . ) To know if the town will restrain neat <br /> cattle , horses & swine from going at large , under <br /> the penalties provided by law - <br /> Art . . 90 ) To know how the town will support their <br /> Poor the ensuing year - <br /> Art . 10 ® ) To bring in their votes for a County <br /> Treasurer- <br /> Art , li ® ) To see if the town will choose Auditors <br /> to audit the accounts of the town & of the Trustees <br /> of the Ministerial Fund - <br /> 2 1839 . <br /> Article 12 . ) To see if the town will petition the <br /> Legislature to alter the act of Incorporation of <br /> the Lexington Ministerial Fund , so as to authorise <br /> the Trustees of said Fund , to pay all the Worship- <br /> ping Societies in town , their part of the income <br /> of said Fund according to their taxes ; or act other- <br /> wise on the subject - <br /> Art , 13 . ) To see if the town will blaild sheds near <br /> Old Meetinghous'e for the accommodation of those that <br /> ride to meeting ; or act otherwise on the subject - <br /> r • <br /> Art . 14 . ) To see if the town will move the Old Meet- <br /> inghouse to some more convenient place ; or act other- <br /> wise on the subject - <br />
