(12) Whereas Thomas Knedel made Complaint to the Selectmen of Lexington that the highways that Leads to his Farm ware not passable By Reason of the Dificalty of the groung on which they are Layd, ter indead cannot be made so wit hout-great Cost and Charge: and that teams could not pas and repas which was to his great dammage:•persuant to which Complaint the select men meat upon the ground the: 4th: of septem.b: 1716 And Began upon the north Easterly Side of the Brook below said kendals hous at too small stumps with a stone Between thenlI arra to Run Easterly upon Capt: willm: Reeds Land to a heap of Stons, and then to a stump with .stons upon it, and then to a whit oake marked, and from then to another whit oake marked: and .then to a gray bake marked, and from then to another gray oake marked, and so to a poplar marked, and then to a small wallnut marked, and from then to a Black oake. marked; and so to a stake with stons about it: By the oulde Town'way that Leads to the meeting hoes, all said Boundaries are upon the southwardly and southweasterly side of said way: and said way Being two Rods wide and Lying upon thos north Easterly side of said marks or.
