(12) <br />Whereas Thomas Knedel made Complaint to the <br />Selectmen of Lexington that the highways that <br />Leads to his Farm ware not passable By Reason <br />of the Dificalty of the groung on which they are <br />Layd, ter indead cannot be made so wit hout-great <br />Cost and Charge: and that teams could not pas and <br />repas which was to his great dammage:•persuant to <br />which Complaint the select men meat upon the ground <br />the: 4th: of septem.b: 1716 And Began upon the north <br />Easterly Side of the Brook below said kendals hous <br />at too small stumps with a stone Between thenlI <br />arra to Run Easterly upon Capt: willm: Reeds Land <br />to a heap of Stons, and then to a stump with .stons <br />upon it, and then to a whit oake marked, and from <br />then to another whit oake marked: and .then to a <br />gray bake marked, and from then to another gray <br />oake marked, and so to a poplar marked, and then <br />to a small wallnut marked, and from then to a <br />Black oake. marked; and so to a stake with stons <br />about it: By the oulde Town'way that Leads to the <br />meeting hoes, all said Boundaries are upon the <br />southwardly and southweasterly side of said way: <br />and said way Being two Rods wide and Lying upon <br />thos north Easterly side of said marks or. Bound- <br />aries <br />Aand allso at the sanet tine we did Resolve and <br />seak. out to Capt willm: Reed in Recnmpens ..of <br />his damagees for said way going upon by Land <br />thre peases of highways all Lying with in or <br />joyning Gcmrpleatly upon said Reeds -own Tand the <br />first begining within three Rods of the: two . <br />stumps first mentioned in the new highway and <br />so runs up to the olde Town way above mentioned, <br />and is Bounded south RAsterly and northweasterly <br />with Capt Reeds own Land: the second is Begin at <br />the Coseway leading over to John Lawrances and <br />so to Run about: 36: Rods Southweasterly and y <br />Bounded south Easterly with Phillip Burdoes <br />Meadow Land , and north-westerly with: Capt Reeds <br />own meaddow. and the third to Begin at the <br />north Easterly side of shaves Farnx and to Run <br />north Easterly whilste it Gums to the south- <br />weasterly of Thanas Bloggets Land,.; and is Bounded <br />south Easterly Corner and north- weasterly with <br />said Reeds. owne Land <br />Entred By order of the select men <br />At A Meeting of ye Select men.of __Leningtaf:::; <br />Aprill 1: 1717: Then. Town: Eleven pounds <br />one shilling and a penney. And also said Treas- <br />urer hath Receved by allowanc for the years: <br />1713 and: 14 <br />Entred By order of the select men <br />
