At a meeting of ye Inhabitants of Lexington <br />orderly Convened ye: 2): of August: 1715: we <br />the subscribers being Chosen as a Committe to <br />Procure a Schoolmaster for the town acording as <br />it was then voted <br />Accordingly we have Agreed with Capt Estabrook <br />upon ye first day of october: 1715: to begin the <br />Schooll as soon as the house •Erected for that <br />use could be gott Ready & to keep ye School <br />from: the time till the Last day of March next <br />ensuing- and he should have one day in a month <br />to be at own Dispose and no more and for his <br />service in said term: the Town at the • Expiration:. <br />of the time to pay him: fifteen pound - - - - <br />Entred By order of the Select men -- <br />Toho-Mason <br />Matthew Bridg <br />Sohn Miriam <br />(10) <br />Lexington the: 27 of Feeruary.: 1715: 16 <br />Whereas Joseph Lock gave t*i e Town a highway upon <br />ye sotherley side of his Land By the Eaight mile <br />Lyne: as may - appear by a Reco i of Land Town Baring <br />Date the: 1: of april: 1715: upon the selectmens <br />making,- a promis to him that they would do what <br />Lay in their power that might be thought proper <br />to procuer hin part of a Rangeway Lyind•upon the <br />notherly side of his Land in Low thereof and upon <br />an orderly moving of said promis In• a•.publick <br />meeting of the Freeholders It was Left to the <br />Select men to mannaige that affair as may appear <br />by a Record Baring Date August the: 29th: 1715: <br />persuant to which vote we the subscribers meat <br />upon the day of the vote hereof and Resolved and <br />seat out to said Joseph: Lock the Range way upon <br />the notherly side of his Land Begining at the <br />townway that Leads fry the meeting hous to the <br />widdow Liddia Teeds and so t o , Run north Easterly <br />whilste it Cons to a heap of stons Laid By us in <br />said way near to said Locks hous Even with the <br />north Corner of his Land. <br />Entred. Capt willm Reed and Mr Joseph Teed Being <br />preasant Capt Reed demanded that his desent and <br />Joseph Teeds might Be Entred against it. But <br />said Teed thos present said no thing tome to <br />do it. <br />At a meeting of ye Selectmen of Lexington May 20: <br />1717: Then agreed with William Russell & Samll <br />Winship to keep ye meetinghouse once in a fort- <br />night or equivalent there unto; for ye whole <br />year next Ensuing; & at ye Expiration of Sd <br />Terme; they shall out of ye Town Treasury for yt <br />Service Receive thirty Shillings: <br />
