At a meeting of ye Inhabitants of Lexington orderly Convened ye: 2): of August: 1715: we the subscribers being Chosen as a Committe to Procure a Schoolmaster for the town acording as it was then voted Accordingly we have Agreed with Capt Estabrook upon ye first day of october: 1715: to begin the Schooll as soon as the house •Erected for that use could be gott Ready & to keep ye School from: the time till the Last day of March next ensuing- and he should have one day in a month to be at own Dispose and no more and for his service in said term: the Town at the • Expiration:. of the time to pay him: fifteen pound - - - - Entred By order of the Select men -- Toho-Mason Matthew Bridg Sohn Miriam (10) Lexington the: 27 of Feeruary.: 1715: 16 Whereas Joseph Lock gave t*i e Town a highway upon ye sotherley side of his Land By the Eaight mile Lyne: as may - appear by a Reco i of Land Town Baring Date the: 1: of april: 1715: upon the selectmens making,- a promis to him that they would do what Lay in their power that might be thought proper to procuer hin part of a Rangeway Lyind•upon the notherly side of his Land in Low thereof and upon an orderly moving of said promis In• a•.publick meeting of the Freeholders It was Left to the Select men to mannaige that affair as may appear by a Record Baring Date August the: 29th: 1715: persuant to which vote we the subscribers meat upon the day of the vote hereof and Resolved and seat out to said Joseph: Lock the Range way upon the notherly side of his Land Begining at the townway that Leads fry the meeting hous to the widdow Liddia Teeds and so t o , Run north Easterly whilste it Cons to a heap of stons Laid By us in said way near to said Locks hous Even with the north Corner of his Land. Capt willm Reed and Mr Joseph Teed Being preasant Capt Reed demanded that his desent and Joseph Teeds might Be Entred against it. But said Teed thos present said no thing tome to do it. At a meeting of ye Selectmen of Lexington May 20: 1717: Then agreed with William Russell & Samll Winship to keep ye meetinghouse once in a fort- night or equivalent there unto; for ye whole year next Ensuing; & at ye Expiration of Sd Terme; they shall out of ye Town Treasury for yt Service Receive thirty Shillings:
