This
would be an exclusive agreement between the Town of Lexington and Minuteman High
School. Minuteman would not open an RFP. Minuteman will be contributing $12mil to
develop fields and other recreational assets regardless of the Town's involvement.
Alessandro asked what the $8mil would be used for. This placement would fulfill one of the goals of the
CCPAC,diversifying program offerings. He stated that the Youth Commission does meet on
the same date and time as the CCPAC,but he did not feel that this would be an obstacle. He
suggested that Mehr go to the Youth Commission for the first 30 minutes and then report
back to the CCPAC the other 30 minutes. This could be coordinated for some of the
meetings, allowing Mehr the opportunity to participate fully in some of the Youth
Commission meetings as well.
