Community Center Program Advisory Committee <br /> Members: 7 <br /> Ex-Officio Members: 3 <br /> Appointed by: Town Manager with Board of Selectmen's approval <br /> Length of Term: 2 years <br /> Appointments Made: May 30 <br /> Meeting Times: Monthly or as needed <br /> Description: To provide guidance to the Town Manager, Director of Recreation and Community <br /> Programs and Community Center Director in the areas of programming, community use of the <br /> building and grounds, and building-use prioritization. To promote collaboration and <br /> communication among the Community Center stakeholders in order to provide a comprehensive <br /> and integrated array of community programs. <br /> Criteria for Membership: Two (2) community members, member or designee of the School <br /> Committee, the Recreation Committee, the Council on Aging, Lexington Youth Commission, and <br /> Cary Memorial Library. The Chairman will be designated by the Town Manager. <br /> Ex-Officio Members/Staff. The Director of Recreation and Community Programs, the Human <br /> Services Director, and the Community Center Director are ex-officio nonvoting members and their <br /> staff shall support, at their direction, this committee. <br /> Liaison: Historical Society, Board of Selectmen <br /> Prior to serving as a member of this Committee, appointees are required to: <br /> 1. Acknowledge receipt of the Summary of the Conflict of Interest Statute. Further, to <br /> continue to serve on the Committee,the member must acknowledge annually receipt of the <br /> summary of the Conflict of Interest Statute. Said summary will be provided by, and <br /> member's acknowledgement shall be sent to, the Town Clerk. <br /> 2. Provide evidence to the Town Clerk that the appointee has completed the on-line training <br /> requirement required by the Conflict of Interest Statute. Further, to continue to serve on <br /> the Committee, the member must acknowledge every two years to the Town Clerk <br /> completion of the on-line training requirement. <br /> Ref.: The Board of Selectmen adopted this charge on February 1, 2016. <br /> Members were designated as Special Municipal Employees on February 8, 2016. <br /> Charge amended by Board of Selectmen on October 15, 2018 to update Criteria for <br /> Membership by removing Youth Service Council and adding Lexington Youth <br /> Commission. <br />
