ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE (Describe important architectural features and <br /> evaluate in terms of other buildings within the community.) <br /> One of the first houses to be built on the street, this is a well- <br /> preserved example of late-nineteenth-century picture saque architecture typical <br /> of a number of areas of Lexington. Features include. shaped triple window in <br /> the gable with columns, angled window at the corner with scrolled frieze and <br /> drop above, palladian window and deep console brackets on the overhanging <br /> portion of the gable. <br /> HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE (Explain the role owners played in local or state <br /> history and how the building relates to the development of the community.) <br /> The house was built by Walter_W.
