ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE (Describe important architectural features and

This classic bungalow sits alone, both geographically and stylistically:
this and the house immediately to the north are the only houses on the west
side of Waltham Street north of Route 2 for many hundreds of feet and this is
the only bungalow of its type anywhere on Waltham Street. It has a gable roof
with wide, flaring eaves; rafter ends visible under the porch eaves; diagonal
braces and purlins under the gable-end overhangs; battered porch posts; a
fieldstone foundation and chimney; and diamond-paned casement windows in the
dormer. There are small three-sided bay windows with hoods on both the south
(shown in photo) and north sides of the house.
