M. Tucker has broken ground on his land adjoining the estate of Rev. Henry Wescott, and will erect a <br /> dwelling for himself at once. <br /> Alexander Marcellus Tucker was born at Charlestown in 1844 and came to Lexington in 1878. He and his son Arthur <br /> were dry and fancy goods merchants. <br /> In January 1904 the house was heavily damaged by fire; a detailed account of the fire and its aftermath appeared in the <br /> Lexington Minute-man on January 23, 1904. According to the article,the main part of the interior of the house was <br /> damaged by fire, smoke and water, especially the upper stories and most of the roof was destroyed. The ell was relatively <br /> unscathed. By July of the same year the house had been rebuilt. <br /> A. M.
