Clifford attended Dartmouth College and was employed as a salesman. Clifford married Edith Acheson <br /> Ray of East Boston on September 7, 1910. Initially the couple lived with his father at 1377 Massachusetts Avenue. <br /> Clifford and Edith Pierce continued to live here until about 1930, along with Edith's two sisters.
