Worthen, the Hadley family (who lived here in the early <br /> 1900s) , claimed that the house was moved here from Arlington Heights, at some <br /> unknown time. Charles Hadley, in the early 1930s, was owner and publisher of <br /> the Lexington Townsman (newspaper) , which Alan Adams bought out, and republished <br /> as the Lexington Minute Man. The editorial and printing office of the Townsman <br /> was in a shed attached to this house. <br /> QG4,&: E.B. Worthen identifies 536 Massachusetts Avenue as the "David Penny house." <br /> Penny was a potter whose shop was on Massachusetts Avenue at the lower corner of <br /> Curve Street (Worthen) . Penny was baptized in 1758, died in 1830. (See Burr <br /> Church collection, Lexington Historical Society.) <br /> S.
