35 Bedford Street — Health Stop - Larry Pelavin had called and asked that this petition be
withdrawn.

Commissioners in attendance: Ian Adamson, Mark DiNapoli, Joann Gschwendtner and Steve
Politi; Associate Commissioners: Sara Chase, Elaine Doran, Dan Fenn and Eleanor MacQueen.
1729 Massachusetts Avenue — Starbucks — Stephen Gallant received approval for the addition of
the Starbucks name to the rear awning. Certificate 99C -36.
The Commission voted to adjourn to executive session to discuss pending litigation, to return to
in public session for the 7:50 p.m. hearing.
1475 Massachusetts Avenue — Muzzey High Condominiums — Mark Pasillo sought approval for
a color change for the building. A set of options was approved, with the final selection to be
worked out with Sara Chase. Certificate 99C -37
40 Hancock Street — Dick Millman returned with plans for the removal of a previous addition to
be replaced with a new addition and a porch. The hearing was continued to allow more detail.
1998 Massachusetts Avenue — Joe Fahey, representing Jean and Doug Hobbs, presented plans
for two side additions. The basic project was approved but the hearing was continued to allow
further revisions. Certificate 99C -38
12 Hancock Street — Brooks Adams sought permission for a "circa" sign but withdrew his
application during the hearing.
6 Meriam Street — Lexington Playcare Center — Chris Giguere received a certificate for a shed.
Certificate 99C -39.
32 Hancock Street — (Ian Adamson stepped out for this hearing) Faith Baum and Amram Shapiro
did an informal presentation on plans for an addition at the rear of the house. The formal hearing
will be next month.
1709 Massachusetts Avenue — Stone Soup Grill & Cafe — Howard Gevertz brought in a
prototype umbrella for approval for use on the upper level terrace. Certificate 99C -40.

21 Follen Road— (Steve Politi, Mark DiNapoli and Eleanor MacQueen stepped out for this
hearing) Bob McNamara and George Killgoar received approval for a sign for the Sacred Heart
Parish Center. Certificate 99C -41

4 Muzzey Street — Color Me Beautiful — Peggy Dunford's revised plans for a sign were
approved. Certificate 99C -42
1776 Massachusetts Avenue- US Trust — James Nihan withdrew his application for the
replacement of the bronze lettering with brushed brass.
6 Bruce Road — Anne Nuss received approval for a change in the windows of the previously
approved project. Certificate 99C -43
1358 Massachusetts Avenue — Pradeep Diwali returned with plans for a wood storm door.

INFORMAL HEARINGS
1912 Massachusetts Avenue — Hancock Church - William Erickson showed the plans for
replacement of two walks and the addition of some exterior stairs in the front of the church.
1749 Massachusetts Avenue — Peet's Coffee and Tea — David Beckom said he would return next
month for approval of a brick faced door enclosure rather than the previously approved stucco
one.
59 Forest Street - Polly Smith will be replacing windows and a roof and seeking a modification
of the previously approved driveway material.
7 Bedford Street — Julie Schauman will be replacing shingles with clapboard, changing an
exterior light fixture and putting up custom -made federal shutters.
