C <br />ri <br />1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />November 29, 1976 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:34 p.m. <br />by the chairman Mr. MacKenzie with members Friedman, Brown, Clarke, planning <br />director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were <br />John Crowe, D.A.C. and Joe Gavaghan, Lexington Minute Man. <br />Minutes of Planning Board meeting of November 8, 1976, were approved MINUTES 11/8/76 <br />as written. <br />Plan submitted with Application Form A76-26, showing land of the Shawmut FORM A76-26 <br />County Bank, Lots A and B at Muzzey St., was reviewed. Upon a motion SHAWMUT CTY <br />duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: BANK, MUZZEY <br />STREET <br />The plan submitted on November 29, 1976, with Application Form A76-26 <br />by Wilbur C. Nylander for Shawmut County Bank, entitled "Plan of Land <br />in Lexington, Mass.", dated November 26, 1976, by Miller & Nylander, <br />showing Lots A and B at Muzzey Street, requires no approval under the <br />Subdivision Control Law. <br />Plan submitted with Application Form A76-27 showing Lots A and B at FORM A76-27 <br />Winter and Sullivan streets, was reviewed. Upon a motion duly made and IODICE,WINTER <br />seconded, it was VOTED: SULLIVAN STS. <br />The plan submitted with Application Form A76-27 on November 29, 1976, <br />by Nicola Iodice, entitled "Compiled Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", <br />dated November 29, 1976, by Miller & Nylander, showing Lots A and B at <br />Winter & Sullivan streets, requires no approval under the Subdivision <br />Control Law. <br />Gerald Cournoyer, Esq. and Jack Keating, Miller & Nylander, met with the <br />Board at 8 p.m. for informal presentation of sketch plan and revised FARMHURST 5 <br />drainage plan for Farmhurst 5 subdivision. It was noted that the lot <br />layout remains the same as shown on a previous subdivision plan for the <br />same site, disapproved by the Planning Board in 1974. Proposed holding <br />ponds were pointed out and revision calculated to correct inadequacies <br />of the previous drainage plan shown. Town Engineer will be asked for <br />comments on the concept prior to formal submission to the Board of the <br />preliminary plan. <br />Chas. Spaulding, Chas. Wiggin, Richard Dobroth of Spaulding & Slye met DRUMMER BOY II <br />with the Board for discussion of plsn for Drummer Boy Green Phase II. <br />Also in attendance were Ruth Morey and George Wadsworht, B/A, Paul Riffin, <br />Conservation Commission, and 11 residents of the North Lexington area. <br />The Planning Board stated its concerns regarding the plan as follows: <br />protection of the green belt easement; significant change in unit mix; <br />and the question of whether the degree of change from the 1974 plan <br />should be deemed "significant". The proponents responded to questions <br />from the members and others in attendance regarding the abovementioned <br />and explained reasons for the changes. Proponents stated site difficulties <br />required relocating the clusters and thus intruding on the greenbelt; <br />economic viability was the reason for changing the mix of unit types. <br />The Planning Board will report to the B/A on the plans prior to the forth- <br />coming hearing on December 30, 1976. <br />
