1 <br />1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />November 22, 1976 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />by the chairman Mr. MacKenzie with members Brown, Zabin, Friedman, Clarke, <br />planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. <br />Minutes of Planning Board meetings of October 25, and November 1, 1976, MINUTES 10/25 <br />were approved as presented. and 11.1.76 <br />The chairman read a letter from Dr. Wadsworth, chairman, B/A, responding ZONING BY LAW <br />to an invitation to participate with Mr. Zabin's committee in review REVIEW COMM. <br />of the Zoning By-law in the light of Ch.808, Acts of 1975. Mr. Zabin <br />gave a brief pregress report on work of the sub -committee dealing with <br />redefinition of CBD boundaries. <br />Board of Appeals notices of hearings to be held on December 9, 1976, B/A HEARINGS <br />were read. No Planning Board comment on the petitions will be offered. 12/9/76 <br />Mr. Briggs reported on conference with Town Counsel who asked for the PUD OPEN SPACE <br />view of the Board with respect to timing of legal acceptance of PUD BICENTENNIAL <br />open space in Bicentennial Farms subdivision. It was agreed that taking FARMS <br />of title will be deferred until completion of construction of the <br />development and condition of the open space is considered to be accept- <br />able. <br />Regarding developer Freeman's request for release of Lot 1 in Minute Man MINUTE MAN <br />Ridge II subdivision, previously discussed on August 16 and 30, 1976, it RIDGE II,LOT <br />was agreed that the action will take place following recording of the <br />subdivision plans and instruments. <br />At 8:05 p.m., Joel Greenstein and his engineer, Roger Corbin met with <br />the Board for discussion of preliminary plan for Kendall Garden subdi- <br />vision, which will be resubmitted to the Planning Board in the near <br />future. Evidence that owners in fee of Kendall Rd. (to which the <br />subdivision road will attach) will give legal rights to the developer <br />to improve that portion of the road, will be required by the Planning <br />Board. No objection was expressed at the intention of Mr. Greenstein <br />to request waiver of sidewalk construction. <br />KENDALL GARDEN <br />SUBDIVISION <br />Dr. Friedman reported on his attendance at an intertown meeting on LAND SWAP MTG. <br />November 18 (Bedford, Burlington, Lexington) to study possibility of <br />a land swap among the three town, involving a 200 a. industrially <br />zoned parcel in Burlington at the Lexington and Bedford lines. Letter <br />appointing Dr. Friedman as Lexington representative to the committee <br />will be prepared by the chairman. <br />At 8:30 p.m., Henry Vokey and Jon McCarthy met with the Board for dis- AARON ROAD <br />cussion of buildability of a parcel of land at Aaron Rd.('paper street"). <br />Plan submitted with Farm A73-16, on which the parcel is shown, and B/A <br />denial of variance to allow legal frontage for the parcel (August '75), <br />were referred to. Mr. Vokey was advised of alternative procedures: <br />repetition to the B/A, or subdivision procedures, regarding develop- <br />ment of the land. <br />
