<br />June 28, 1976
<br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:40 p.m.
<br />by the chairman Mr. MacKenzie, with members Friedman, Brown, Zabin, planning
<br />director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were
<br />Richard Rogers, D.A.C., and Joe Gavaghan, Lexington Minute -Man.
<br />Minutes of Planning Board meeting of June 7, 1976, were approved as MINUTES 6.7.
<br />amended. APPROVED
<br />Request of developer Everett J. Tingley for extension on Blossom Hill BLOSSOM HILL
<br />Estates subdivision was noted. Discussion followed concerning deferral ESTATES SUBDV
<br />of Planning Board action on the plan pending settlement of a court case
<br />(Gaillard vs. B/A) involving the subdivision. Upon a motion duly made and
<br />seconded, it was VOTED:
<br />To extend to August 10, 1976, the time on or before which the Planning
<br />Board must act on the definitive subdivision plan entitled "Blossom
<br />Hill Estates", dated October 20, 1975, revised May, 1976, by
<br />Northeastern Eng'g. Assoc., as requested by Ernest J. Tingley, applicant.
<br />Action on the preliminary plan for Kendall Gardens subdivision was
<br />considered. Lack of required information regarding connection of the
<br />proposed subdivision street to Kendall Rd. was noted and Planning Board
<br />letter, dated 6.2.76, to the applicant, Roger Corbin, requesting evidence
<br />of legal rights to improve Kendall Rd., was read. Mr. Briggs informed
<br />the members that such information has not been furnished. Upon a motion
<br />duly made and seconded, it was VOTED:
<br />To disapprove the preliminary subdivision plan entitled "Kendall
<br />Gardens Lexington, Mass.", dated February 25, 1976, revised May 3,
<br />1976, by Joseph W. Moore Co., Roger M.Corbin, applicant.

<br />Plan submitted with application Form A76-19, showing three lots at Wood FORM A76-19
<br />Street, was reviewed, and Mr. Briggs recapped Town Meeting action (Art.88,W00D ST.
<br />1976) which allowed transfer of adjoining Town -owned land to owners of
<br />the abovementioned lots to supply frontage which was lost when Wood St.
<br />was relocated. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED:
<br />The plan submitted on June 23, 1976, by William J. Daily, Esq., with
<br />Application Form A76-19, entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass."
<br />dated May 14, 1976, by E. P. Kingsbury, showing lots 249A through
<br />254F at Wood Street, requires no approval under the Subdivision
<br />Control Law.
<br />TOPICS plans for improvement to two locations in Lexington were reviewed. TOPICS PLANS
<br />Regarding redesign of the intersection at Pleasant St, and Mass. Ave.,
<br />it was agreed that the plan has merit if it proceeds on the assumption that
<br />traffic regulations for the area will be consistently enforced. Implement-
<br />ation of B/A Condition (1976 Permit -Wilson's Farm) banning parking on the
<br />westerly side of Pleasant St. by installation of a sign, will be recommended.
