1 <br />U <br />PLANNING BOARD METING <br />December 30,1974 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members Costello, L. Brown, Clarke, MacKenzie <br />planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance <br />was John Davies, D.A.C. <br />Mr. Briggs' draft letter on the S.M.M. Realty Corp. petition to the B/A SMM REALTY <br />for variances concerning building size, setback, parking spaces, was re- TRUST <br />viewed. Minor changes from the April, 1974, proposal were explained by <br />Mr. Briggs. The letter was approved as written. <br />Draft letter to the Board of Appeals regarding the Centre Estates (Moore CENTRE EST. <br />Homes, Inc.) petition to construct duplex homes in RS zone, was reviewed.B/A <br />Several revisions to the letter were agreed upon, and following prepara- <br />tion of the revised letter by the planning director, the chairman will <br />sign it on behalf of the Board. <br />Request of developer, Theodore Freeman, for extension of time on the BICENTENNIAL <br />definitive plan for Bicentennial Farms subdivision was considered. Upon FARMS SUBD. <br />a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: <br />To extend to January 14, 1975, inclusive, the time within which the <br />Planning Board must act on the definitive plan entitled "Bicen- <br />tennial Farms in Lexington, Mass.", dated September 23, 1974, as <br />requested by Theodore L. Freeman, applicant. <br />Dr. Clarke's draft of the Annual Report of the Planning Board was re- PL. BD. ANNUAL <br />viewed and revised, and will be redrafted by Dr. Clarke. REPORT <br />Drainage report and recommendations on Farmhurst V subdivision, dated FARMHURST V <br />December 20, 1974, received from John McSweeney, Dir. of Public Works <br />4 Engr., was read in part by the chairman and reviewed. January 18, 1975, <br />was noted as the date for forthcoming court action concerning the subdi- <br />vision. The report will be referred to Town Counsel who will be con- <br />sulted as to possible change in Planning Board procedures in the light of this <br />report. <br />Letter from Frank Sandy to Charles Kennedy, D.N.R., dated December 23, TOPHET SWAMP <br />1974, with comments on hydrology in the Sanitary Landfill area, was noted. <br />Copy will be sent to C.E. Maguire Co. (Tophet Swamp Study) for their <br />information. <br />Memo from the Town Manager, dated December 27, 1974, regarding provision MAINTENANCE <br />of funds for maintenance of Conservation and other Town -owned land, was <br />noted. <br />The meeting adjourned at 9 p.m. <br />Paul J.
